Meet the member
We spoke with Jamie Woodhouse, a former Accenture Managing Director, who currently focuses on championing a worldview he developed called Sententism, which promotes "evidence, reason, and compassion for all sentient beings."
Why start a new worldview? "It felt to me like this ultimate meta-intervention. Worldviews are the things that sit underneath every single human decision. Given humans have so much power, if there's something that underpins and steers every decision humans make-institutionally or individually-and that thing is worldviews, then it's got to be important to focus on."
What message would you send to your Managing Director-era self? "Be braver and do it earlier. This transition hasn't always been easy and has often felt deeply strange, but I have no regrets at all. There hasn't been a single day where I wish I'd kept going, or where I wish I'd switched into another consulting career, or I wish I'd gone to work for a client, or I wish I'd gone into private equity. Not a single moment."
